Awsome. This is the first and only STEP-BY-STEP install video to date. Full of tidbits of “insider” information. Unlike others put up by professionals that are there to glofify themselves. Make sure you hit the PAUSE button at the end to catch all the details on the system and pitfalls listed. Thanks.
excellent video thanks for the help
Thanks for the comments.
Hope this is useful to some folks.
FYI: I paid $1,123 for the electric install. A bit more than one would expect…due to the inexperience of the electricians (only their 2nd solar install ). They initially ran 14g wire to the inverter but the inspector made them intall 6g copper wire (ran $151). The inspector also required them to run the wire in 3/4″ EMT counduit (metal) and place a packard on the inverter listing the voltage specs in addition to one on the combined AC/DC disconnet switch which also ran up the bill a bit.
All in all the install was not very hard and most any do-it yourself person can install it as I did solely with my wife’s assistance.
thks for the upload. Im going to gain the knowledge of installing solar panels very soon because it is going to become a very high demand job in the coming years.
Thanks for the video. If anyone is looking for a good deal on panels email me.
I’m confused about why you ran your panels in series. All of the Grid-tie inverters I have looked up require either a 12v or 24v charge coming in.
